A 27-year-old environmental NGO was starting to look its age, so YPBB got a visual identity built to outlast another 27 years.

The Setup
YPBB had been doing real environmental work since 1993, but a 27-year-old visual identity was starting to undersell 27 years of credibility. Every legacy rebrand runs into the same trap: modernize without looking like you're starting over, or worse, selling out.
The Ask
Evolve YPBB's identity into something modern and adaptable, while keeping its environmental ethos legible at a glance.
The Move
- Rebuilt the logomark and paired it with a color palette drawn from the natural world and a typographic system that reads as professional and ecologically grounded at once.
- Designed the system to be modular from day one, built to scale across print, digital, and signage without needing a redesign for every new context.
- Applied it across the real range of touchpoints (stationery, publications, event collateral, digital assets) and tested it against everything from a community tote bag to an international sustainability conference banner.

The Numbers
A complete, modular brand toolkit adaptable across YPBB's ongoing campaigns and community events
A visual identity that reads coherently whether it's on a tote bag or a conference stage, the actual test of a modular system working
The Bigger Picture
Legacy brands rarely need reinvention. They need translation: the same values, told in a visual language people recognize as current. That's a harder brief than starting from scratch, and usually a more valuable one.
“Sitting on years of credibility and a brand that doesn't show it? That gap is exactly what I like closing.”
