Galeri Yuk Nabung Saham — Visual interface design installation for Indonesia Stock Exchange
INTERFACE DESIGNInteractive interface for a gallery installation, with Sembilan Matahari

When the Indonesia Stock Exchange needed a gallery installation regular people wouldn't bounce off, I designed the interface that kept them tapping.

The Setup

In 2018, the Indonesia Stock Exchange wanted a permanent gallery installation that could make stock trading approachable to everyday visitors, students, first-time investors, walk-in traffic, not just finance professionals. This was also before screen-prototyping tools were standard, which meant validating interactions took real legwork.

02

The Ask

As lead interface designer working with Sembilan Matahari, design the interface layout, typography, 3D asset placement, and interaction flows for a touch-friendly, gallery-ready installation, and prove the experience would work before it was physically built.

03

The Move

  • Engineered a dynamic, touch-friendly UI with real-time feedback loops, pairing clear financial typography with expressive 3D compositions from the studio's 3D artists.
  • Ran a full design sprint process, since off-the-shelf prototyping tools weren't yet reliable for this kind of physical-digital installation.
  • Produced full-scale video motion simulations to preview timing, screen transitions, and sensor trigger states, letting the engineering team validate interactions before anything was installed on site.

The Bigger Picture

Interface design here meant more than screens. The real job was making a genuinely intimidating topic feel like something you could walk up and try, a UX problem before it was ever a visual one.

Closing Insight
“Building something that needs to make a complicated topic feel simple to a walk-up audience? That's a favorite kind of brief.”
